How? • Has our thinking kept up with the changes in society? • How can discrimination be wasteful?

EEO - a fair go for all • How do you understand the difference between Anti-discrimination and Affirmative Action? • Who is covered by Anti-discrimination laws? • Is discrimination always intentional? • How would sexual and a racial discrimination happen in the following situations:- • When a job is advertised • in deciding the necessary qualifications/criteria • Interviewing & deciding who get the job • Setting job titles and classifications • Arranging training courses for work • Setting up paths of promotion in the company • Can you think of examples of policies/practices which make it harder for women to get a job

EEO - a fair go for all • How would you describe sexual harassment? • Case study • Does sexual harassment only apply to men pressuring women? • Why do women get a hard time when they enter traditionally male jobs • Why do you think racial discrimination occurs in the workplace in the 1990’s • Do you believe that there are jobs that can not be done equally done by women and men?

Leave me alone - sexual harassment To focus on the nature of sexual harassment • How would you describe the feelings and the reaction of the women in this video? • Does it make a difference if the behaviour happens once or is repeated? • How would you explain sexual harassment to people in your workplace? • As a supervisor, what responsibilities do you have to prevent sexual harassment? • To improve the organisations response to sexual harassment, your group should draft a Policy Statement
