  2. 2013 Community Development Grant • Purpose – To invest in local community recycling programs and services. • Eligibility - an agency of the state, as established by the ORC, which may be a municipal corporation, county, township, village, state college or university, solid waste management district or authority, park district and health district. • Fifty percent (50%) cash match must be available and has a maximum grant period of 12 months.   3. 2013 Community Development Grant • Commercial Recycling - $50,000 • Construction & Demolition Debris Recycling - $100,000 • Curbside Recycling - $200,000 • Deconstruction Material Recycling - $100,000 • Drop-Off Recycling - $100,000 • Material Recovery Facility Recycling (Public) - $150,000 • Special Venue Recycling - $50,000 Ohio Environmental Protection Agency

  4. 2013 Community Grant Awards • City of Columbus – Recycling Collection Units for the Commons Area • Fairfield County – MRF Conveying System for New Glass Collection Program • Village of Versailles – Curbside Equipment for PAYT Program Ohio Environmental Protection Agency

  5. 2013 Litter Collection & Prevention Grant • Purpose – To financially support Litter Collection & Tire Amnesty efforts. • Eligibility - an agency of the state, as established by the ORC, which may be a municipal corporation, county, township, village, state college or university, solid waste management district or authority, health district, Keep Ohio Beautiful(KOB) affiliate, board of education, and non-profit organization. • Requires a ten percent (10%) cash match and has maximum grant period of 12 months.   6. 2013 Litter Collection & Prevention Grant • KOB Annual Renewal - $500 • KOB Certification Fee - $4,000 • Illegal Dumpsite Cleanup - $20,000 • Litter Collection - $20,000 • Litter Prevention & Awareness - $15,000 • Tire Amnesty Collection (5,000 -10,000 PTE) - $15,000 • Tire Amnesty Collection (10,001 - 20,000 PTE) - $25,000 • Tire Amnesty Collection (Above 20,000 PTE) - $40,000 Ohio Environmental Protection Agency

  7. 2013 Litter Collection & Prevention Grant Awards • Keep Cincinnati Beautiful – Partnership with the Hamilton County Solid Waste Management District to conduct a county-wide highway litter collection event (Tools, supplies and promotional funding are to be purchased) • Lorain County Solid Waste Management District – Conducts an annual agricultural tire collection event (Funds are provided for the collection and disposal costs) Ohio Environmental Protection Agency

  8. 2013 Market Development Grant • Purpose – To invest in private sector ventures, both processing and manufacturing in nature, which utilize or process recycled base materials. • Eligibility - an agency of the state, per the ORC, which may be a municipal corporation, county, township, village, state college or university and solid waste management district or authority. Applicants may sponsor multiple private sectors businesses or non-profit organizations, who are located and registered to conduct business in Ohio. • On hundred percent (100%) cash match and has a maximum grant period of 24 months.   9. 2013 Market Development Grant • Construction & Demolition Debris Recycling - $250,000 • Manufacturing & Processing - $250,000 • Material Recovery Facility Recycling (Private) - $250,000 • Organics Recycling - $250,000 • Scrap Tire Manufacturing & Processing - $ 250,000 (up to one million PTE) • Scrap Tire Manufacturing & Processing - $ 350,000 (over one million PTE) • Scrap Tire Non-Paving Civil Engineering - $ 150,000 Ohio Environmental Protection Agency

  10. 2013 Market Development Grant Awards • Village of Lexington (in partnership with Next Generation Films) – Funded a new manufacturing line for the production of plastic film comprised of recycled resin • Weathersfield Township/Trumbull County (in partnership with Kurtz Brothers) – Grant funds are targeted at the creation of a new construction demolition & debris material recovery facility Ohio Environmental Protection Agency
