He was thirteen years old, Defoe's mother had died. he was educated in a Dissenting Academy and is believed to have attended the church there. He preparing to become a minister. However, before he decided against the ministry. He wanted to grow business world of London. He had a flair for business, he also tried his talents in another field. Through his life, he can object to many problems of his time. By the time Robinson Crusoe appeared in 1719. Through this book, Defoe was reflect; Political and religious controversy, historical narrative, geographical description, moral and religious advice, and tales of the supernatural. Author

  4. Robinson Crusoe has to travel on himself by going to sea. During his voyage, he is shipwrecked and cast away on an uninhabited island. where he survives until his rescue twenty eight years later. During leave in uninhabited island, he carried food, clothe, weapon, dog, and cat from the ship. And then build a shanty, make a ship for escape. Also, he rescues Friday, cannibal slave, make his men. Finally, he rescues shipper by represses uprising ship of England. He returns to his native country after twenty eight years.   5. What is the central problem, or conflict, in the story In uninhabited island, his humane distress and conflict. • What is the root cause of the conflict?   6. The climax of this story is to rescue shipper from uprising ship of England. When it happened, I feel interest and tension. Also, I admired Robinson Crusoe. Because he is very smart and careful. If It is happened to me, I will be not trust them and avoid this happening. Just hide, quiet-living and die. Climax

  8. How did the story end? Robinson Crusoe rescues shipper by represses uprising ship of England. And he returns to his native country with Friday and captain. • I did expect how does he conquered and escaped from uninhabited. I surprised that he overcomes hardship himself and then he returns to his native country. Also, I surprised that leaves again for another adventure. So, I like the way the story ends. But, I felt the lack of Robinson’s mind and thinking during the return to his native country. Because He was undergo an hardship and overcome himself. Ending

  9. What do you think we can learn from this book? What can we gain? 1. Reflect of its period; colony pioneer of England, interest in other country, trading business developing. 2. Reflect Daniel Defoe’s walk of life, hardship, political activity through young Robinson Crusoe’s wandering. 3. Thinking of modern period. Through a man’s conflict from severance of civilization, role of religion, developing process of life for survival, understand and react to different civilization, a type of human as Friday.   10. Before reading this book I felt interesting and profound. Because This book’s background and event. It is very creative and fun. So, I select this book. • I surprised and interested in this story. So, I want to tell graduate students to read it. Because Robinson Crusoe was overcome hardship and he challenges again and again.
