  2. Introduction To Web Design Services • The first ever website was published in 1991, which was also the birth of web design. • This ‘text-based’ website was the beginning of the new digital age. • Since then we have come a long way with web designing being a separate faculty within the digital agency. • Before the web design services offered today, there was an entire evolution that moulded us. • Let’s take a look at the evolution in the next few slides. http://tingdigital.com.au

  3. Antiquity - 1990’s • Before the birth of the ‘fast internet’ and the modem routers and wifi. It was an age of dial-up modems. • This meant that the websites needed to be tailored specific to those needs. • These websites were mostly text based and there was no such thing as a design layout or graphics. • It was not until much later that visual aspects such as typography, imagery and navigation were taken into consideration. • Until then web design agencies in Sydney did not exist. http://tingdigital.com.au

  4. The Middle Ages – Mid 1990’s • This is the age of the pestering gif’s and on site page builders and web design had developed a lot in terms of appearance and structure. • It was more common now to organise content on web pages, mostly done in table format. • This allowed greater flexibility and more space for creativity. • The websites were still quite text heavy, but the idea of putting the content into columns and rows was incorporated, making it much neater. • Graphical content started to get popular and from there came the web design services we offer today. http://tingdigital.com.au

  5. The Renaissance – Late 90’s • This era introduced the flash and was also the rebirth • of web design. • Flash was the proper beginning of web design as it opened up an array of design possibilities that were not previously available with HTML. • Many of the old features were still in use but were made better with upgrades to colour changing navigations, 3d buttons and much more. • This was when the design view was focused to the visitor. • It was also when web design was a feature offered by many business and in a way could be said the beginning of web design services. http://tingdigital.com.au

  6. The Industrial Revolution • This began with the birth of web 2.0 and this is when things took a turn for the better with the beginning of the modern web. • The rise of the social web marked a new revolution with the implementation of interactive content to suit multimedia applications. • These new features defined what the new had become, a well-made content platform. • The attention shifted from text based websites to to a more visual approach with increase in colour distribution, use of icons and content shifted to SEO. • Web design agencies in Sydney were now running in full fledge and due to this we have todays super-fast fibre net. http://tingdigital.com.au
