Unveiled in 1946 in a blaze of publicity, it was a monstrous 30-ton machine, as big as two semis and filled with enough vacuum tubes (19,000), switches (6,000) and blinking lights to require an army of attendants. Capable of adding 5,000 numbers in a second.

It could corrupt or delete data on a computer and even delete everything on the hard disk. • They are mostly spread by attachments in e-mail messages. Computer viruses can be disguised as attachments of funny images, greeting cards, or audio and video files. They are also spread by downloads on the internet. They can hide in pirated software or in any other file programs that you may download.

  8. Computers in the future… • I think that computers in the future will have HD and 3D pictures. Instead of a keyboard it could either be touch screen or it will have voice command. Also I have a feeling that computers/laptops will be getting smaller and smaller that they will be able to fit in your palm kind of exactly like the I phones..
