Exploring Computational Thinking Through HTML, Excel, and JavaScript

In "Adventures in Computational Thinking" by Emily Chen, the journey of creating web pages with HTML and interactive content via JavaScript is explored. The course emphasizes data analysis and visualization using MS Excel, allowing students to generate graphs and charts for better insight. The use of Alice for visual programming introduces the concept of virtual reality with computational thinking at its core. Through structured documents and presentations made using MS Word and PowerPoint, the importance of effective communication in presenting information is highlighted.

  1. Adventures in Computational Thinking By Emily Chen Making Information Available to the World with HTML and Web Pages Data Analysis and Visualization with MS Excel Visual Programming with Alice Computational Thinking I learned how to create my own webpage through HTML. Through Alice, we were able to create a virtual reality with objects and methods. Computational thinking is thinking on different levels using computer intelligence and technology. It is a stronger and complex way of thinking to help solve problems and design systems. Using Excel, we generated graphs and charts to analyze data. Desktop Publishing with MS Word Dynamic Webpage Programming with JavaScript Presentation of Information with MS Powerpoint We used Microsoft Word to create structured documents with headers, a table of contents, and a bibliography. Through JavaScript and HTML, we created interactive webpages. We used PowerPoint to make a neat and organized presentation of data.
