Session 1 – National Data Management & WISE SoE TCM reporting Summary
Session 1 – Main discussion points Session 1, Group 2 • Countries present: Germany, Poland, France, Belgium, Albania, Slovenia, Ireland. From ETC: Claudette, Anita, Dag, Birger, from EEA: • The data reporting to Eionet and marine conventions is in general workingwithout problems, and responsibilitiesareclear. • Difficulties in reporting: • Need for more general geographical location information for fish sampling;nospecificcoordinates as required by the EIONET template. • (Waterbody as additionalinformation) • CAS-number versus numericdeterminandcodes or names;suggestion to use ICES codes as much as possible. • Changes in DD maycause problems • Misfitbetweennational time schedule (contracting partners) and the EEA time schedule • May have to repeatthereportingprocess • How to handle HazardousSubstanceBelow limit values • Separate columns for DL and QL? • Report methods, equipment
Session 1 – Main discussion points Improvements • Includereasons for changes in the DD (usingexpandingbuttons in thetext) • The letter announcingthechangesshould be sent as early as possible, preferably in April. • Send the DD as PDF showingchanges as trackedchanges in addition to thespecificsectionaboutchanges? • It would be useful to have a technical workshop onpractical data reportingissues
