Amazing Love . 1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. I want to be loved.

  1. Amazing Love 1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

  2. I want to be loved. The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. (Jeremiah 31:3)

  3. I want someone to be with me. Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, He it is that doth go with thee; He will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. (Deuteronomy 31:6) Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. (Joshua 1:9)

  4. I want someone who will always love me, no matter what. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-89)

  5. I want someone to hold me. The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. (Deuteronomy 33:27) Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually. (Psalms 119:117)

  6. I want someone to comfort me. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. (John 14:18) Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. (2 Corinthians 1:3-5)

  7. I want someone to fulfill my heart's desires. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (Psalms 37:4)

  8. I want to belong to someone. But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for Himself. (Psalms 4:3) But now thus saith the LORD that created thee… Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. (Isaiah 43:1)

For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. • Behold what Manner of Love : Agape, Phileo, Eros • The Father – God, Bestower, Giver --- origin, creator, ancestor, head, male gender • That we should be called the sons of God…. Attribute of Bestower/giver: Father --privileges of a child

Amazing Love Mark 14:36 And He said, Abba, Father, all things arepossible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt. “possible” • To be able, • To have power on something, • To be mighty, • To be strong • It is possible to have the ability to bear calamities and trials with fortitude and patience. • To excel is possible. • To do mighty things is possible. • To be strong in Christian value (high standard)

Amazing Love Mark 14:36 And He said, Abba, Father, all things arepossible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt. “possible” • To be able, • To have power on something, • To be mighty, • To be strong Giving and receiving Forgiveness is possible for us…even the intention of our heart can be forgiven.

  13. Amazing Love Mark 14:36 And He said, Abba, Father, all things arepossible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt. Acts 8:22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. Romans 12:18 If possible, so far as it depends upon you, live peaceably with all. Giving and receiving Forgiveness is possible for us…even the intention of our heart can be forgiven.

  14. ROMANS 4:7 • "BLESSED ARE THOSE WHOSE LAWLESS DEEDS HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN, AND WHOSE SINS HAVE BEEN COVERED. • 8 "BLESSED IS THE MAN WHOSE SIN THE LORD WILL NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT." Giving and receiving Forgiveness is possible for us…even the intention of our heart can be forgiven.

  15. Amazing Love Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Spirit of adoption You are not of this world You are a chosen generation You are a holy nation You are a new creation – a citizen with a new culture and a new language… In Him you live and move and have your being You are peculiar, different, you shine your light to all men, they see your good works and glorify God in heaven.

  16. Amazing Love Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. You desire spiritual things, you are able to discern good from evil.(not following blindly just because everybody is doing it makes it justifiable…. Not anymore when you are moving in a desire to please God. How do we please God? Step1: Know Him then you can please him that you know. You can do things for the person you know… the person that you love becomes the purpose of your life If you love self, you live for self If you love family, you live for family If you love God, you seek the kingdom and all these things shall be added unto you…and you are changed from glory to glory

  17. Amazing Love Conclusion: 1 John 3:1NASV See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us,that we would be called children of God; and {such} we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
