  2. Irregular Verbs • Usually you add –ed to a verb to show past tense. • Irregular verbs change tense in other ways. Present Tense Men come here. Past Tense Men came here. Past with has, have, or had Men have come here.

  3. Irregular Verbs • Irregular Verbs have a special form when they are used with has, have, or had. • Examples are listed on the next slide.

  5. Choose the correct past form of the verb in ( ). • I have ( read) a book about animals communicate. • We (see) a movie about a gorilla that knew sign language. • Our teacher has (tell) us about her talking parrot. • An expert on dolphins (come) to our school.
