Certification of the UrbanTransportation Planning Process Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP-21) requires certification at least every four years for every Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) TPB conducts self-certification along with the approval of every update to the CLRP Explains how the TPB’s planning process meets all federal requirements of MAP-21 and the Clean Air Act Requires approval letters and signatures of each state DOT and the TPB

Certification of the UrbanTransportation Planning Process Certification covers the following aspects of the planning process: • Unified Planning Work Program • MPO’s Roles and responsibilities • TPB Vision and Planning Factors • Four-Year Updates of the CLRP • Annual Listing of Projects • Air Quality Conformity Determination • Financial Plan
