About CTET • Central Teacher Eligibility Test • Introduced in the year 2011 • Conducted by CBSE for appointment of teachers • All government schools and many private schools prefer CTET score • The competition is high in CTET • The qualifying marks is high (60%)
CTET Elilibility For Teaching Classes 1-5 (Primary Classes) • Candidate must have passed senior secondary with at least 45% agggregate or appearing in the final of diploma in elementary education/B.ED/diploma in special education. For Teaching Classes 6-8 (Elementary Classes) • Candidate must be graduate with 45% agggregate or appearing in the final of BA/B.Ed/diploma in education/B.Sc B.Ed
CTET Syllabus The exam will be conducted in two parts i.e. Paper-I & Paper-2 Total Questions: 150 Max. Marks : 150 Time duration: 2.30 hours Paper 1: The questions in first paper consist from Child development and pedagogy, Language I & II, Mathematics and environmental studies subjects. Paper 2:The questions in Paper –II will consist from Child development and pedagogy, Language-I Hindi, II English, science and mathematics.
CTET – How to Apply Instructions for Online Application: • Before applying online candidates must have scanned images of photograph and signature (in JPG format only) and a copy of Secondary Education Board Class X Certificate. • Log on through the website of CTET • Click on Apply for CTET link • Fill all the details carefully. • Upload Scanned Images of Photograph and Signature. • Pay Examination Fee by Challan or debit/ credit card. • Update fee details on CTET website if payment made through Challan of Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank. • Print Confirmation page for future use. Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on Examination. Application Fee: Rs 600 for one paper and Rs 1000 for both papers For SC/ST/differently abled: Rs 300 for one paper and Rs 500 for both the papers
