  2. YABA Risks: rapid heart rate, increased blood pressure, and damage to the small blood vessels in the brain that can lead to stroke, and death. Yaba is sold in tablets. They usually aren't any bigger than a pencil eraser. They are brightly colored, usually reddish-orange or green. Yaba tablets are usually consumed orally. The tablets sometimes are flavored like candy. Another method is heating it then inhaling or mixing it with a solvent and injecting it. Yaba has emerged as a drug of abuse in Asian communities in the United States, mainly in Northern California and in Los Angeles.

  3. Methamphetamine (Meth) Risks: anxiety, confusion, insomnia, mood disturbances, and violent behavior paranoia, visual hallucinations Meth comes in many forms and can be smoked, snorted, injected, or orally ingested. Smoking meth, which leads to very fast uptake of the drug in the brain, has become more common in recent years. The drug also alters mood in different ways, depending on how it is taken. Immediately after smoking the drug or injecting it, the user experiences an intense rush that lasts a few minutes. Even after you stop using meth you will continue to have hallucinations and paranoia for many years.

  4. Cocaine and Crack Risks: increased irritability, restlessness, panic attacks, and paranoia Crack is nearly always smoked. Smoking crack cocaine delivers large quantities of the drug to the lungs, producing an immediate and intense euphoric effect.

  5. Khat Risks: anorexia, tachycardia, hypertension, insomnia, and gastric disorders, suicidal depression and violence Khat is typically chewed like tobacco. The fresh leaves, twigs, and shoots of the Khat shrub are chewed, and then retained in the cheek and chewed intermittently to release the drug. Dried plant material can be made into tea or a chewy paste. Khatcan also be smoked and even added on food.
