  3. JLC Proponent The JLC is a Joint Logistics Commander’s initiative. The Joint Staff Director for Logistics (DJ4) is the course proponent. Lieutenant General Kathleen M. Gainey Director of Logistics, Joint Staff J4

  4. JLC Mission To prepare military officers, non-commissioned officers, and civilians to support joint force commanders in the planning, controlling and execution of logistics across the range of military operations.

JLC Vision • An action officer will be able to effectively operate in today’s • “Big Joint” environment… • Understand the complexities of the joint world (relationships, roles, responsibilities, and authorities). • Access and analyze information and associated circumstances. • Recommend courses of action to Chain of Command. - Across a broad spectrum of circumstances - Leveraging a strong base of knowledge

JLC Training Objectives • Understand the interdependent nature of joint logistics. • Analyze the use of logistics to support the range of military operations. • Determine and explain how command relationships and administrative control influence logistic support for the joint force commander. • Identify, coordinate and synchronize resources to solve novel problems in a joint, interagency, and multinational force. • Design a plan that applies the principles, capabilities, and limitations of • logistics across the range of military operations and • plans to an operational environment.
