Building a Computer-Mediated Communication Community for Neurogenic Disorder Interventions

The Computer-Mediated Communication Community (CMCC) aims to enhance communication for individuals with acquired neurogenic disorders by utilizing web-based and telecommunications technologies. CMCC provides social and communicative opportunities for adults with conditions like aphasia, right hemisphere syndrome, and traumatic brain injury, connecting them with their families, caregivers, and professionals. The initiative includes community-driven resources such as discussion groups, continuing education for speech-language pathologists (SLPs), and access to supportive technology, fostering a vibrant healthcare community.
