  1. Bicycles Bicycles have been used for transportation, sporting events, exercise, and many more things.

  2. Types of Bicycles There are many types of common bicycles including BMX bikes, mountain bikes, utility bikes, Hybrid bikes, and much more. More Specific types of bikes are Tandems, low riders, tall bikes, amphibious bikes, and recumbent bikes.

  3. Where Bicycles Came From • The first bicycle was made by a German guy named Baron Karl von Drais. The bicycle was called the Dandy Horse and was made in the early 1810s. To ride the Dandy Horse (also known as the wooden draisine) you have to sit astride on a wooden frame while pushing along with your feet while steering the front wheel.
