  3. God chose Mary to be the Mother of Jesus. • Mary’s birth is not mentioned in the Gospels. SEPTEMBER 8 – BIRTH OF MARY

  4. The angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and announced that she would be the mother of the Lord. • Mary’s “YES” signifies her obedience and faithfulness. • The angel told Mary she was full of “GRACE.” THE ANNUNCIATION

  5. We remember Our Lady’s share in sufferings of her Son. • Mary loved Jesus so much that she suffered along with him without complaining or feeling sorry for herself. SEPTEMBER 15 – OUR LADY OF SORROWS
