  2. الغرور Arrogance الكبرياء Pride الذات The Ego الأنا The Ego الكرامة Dignity

  3. “ If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me ” (MT 16: 24) “ ان اراد احد ان ياتي ورائي فلينكر نفسه ويحمل صليبه ويتبعني ” (مت 16 : 24) “For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” (MT 16: 25) “ من اراد ان يخلص نفسه يهلكها ومن يهلك نفسه من اجلي يجدها ” (مت 16 : 25)

  4. 1- Disobeying/Not Submitting 1- عدم الخضوع: ” كان لانسان ابنان فجاء الى الاول وقال يا ابني اذهب اليوم اعمل في كرمي فاجاب وقال ما اريد ولكنه ندم اخيرا ومضى وجاء الى الثاني وقال كذلك فاجاب وقال ها انا يا سيد ولم يمض “ (مت 21 : 28 - 31) “A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, ‘Son, go, work today in my vineyard.’ He answered and said, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he regretted it and went. Then he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, ‘I go, sir,’ but he did not go ” (MT 21: 28-31)

  5. “ليتك اصغيت لوصاياي فكان كنهر سلامك وبرك كلجج البحر ” (اش 48 : 18) “Oh, that you had heeded My commandments!  Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea. ” (IS 48: 18) “من اجل انك لم تسمع لقول الرب فحينما تذهب من عندي يقتلك اسد ولما ذهب من عنده لقيه اسد وقتله ” (1 مل 20 : 36) “Because you have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, surely, as soon as you depart from me, a lion shall kill you.” And as soon as he left him, a lion found him and killed him. ” (1 Ki 20: 36)

But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things.” (Acts 5: 1-5)

  7. 2- الريـــاء: 2- Hypocrisy ”ويل لكم ايها الكتبة والفريسيون المراؤون لانكم تنقون خارج الكاس والصحفة وهما من داخل مملوان اختطافا ودعارة“ (مت 23 : 25) “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence” (MT 23: 25)

  8. 3- The love of praise 3- حب المديح: “ويل لكم اذا قال فيكم جميع الناس حسنا لانه هكذا كان اباؤهم يفعلون بالانبياء الكذبة ” (لو 6 : 26) “Woe to youwhen allmen speak well of you, For so did their fathers to the false prophets.” (LK 6: 26) “ افاستعطف الان الناس ام الله ام اطلب ان ارضي الناس فلو كنت بعد ارضي الناس لم اكن عبدا للمسيح ” (غل 1 : 10) “For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.” (GA 1: 10)

  9. قصة هيرودس الملك: King Herod’s Story “ في يوم معين لبس هيرودس الحلة الملوكية وجلس على كرسي الملك وجعل يخاطبهم فصرخ الشعب هذا صوت اله لا صوت انسان ففي الحال ضربه ملاك الرب لانه لم يعط المجد لله فصار ياكله الدود ومات ” (أع 12 : 21 - 23) “So on a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat on his throne and gave an oration to them. And the people kept shouting, “The voice of a god and not of a man!” Then immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And he was eaten by worms and died.” (Acts 12: 21-23)

  10. 4- عدم الإحساس بالخطأ: (عدم التوبة) 4- Not feeling that he’s wrong: (Unrepentant) “لانك تقول اني انا غني وقد استغنيت ولا حاجة لي الى شيء ولست تعلم انك انت الشقي والبئس وفقير واعمى وعريان” (رؤ 3 : 17) “Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’- and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked” (RE 3: 17)

  11. الابن الأكبر: The Older Son “وكان ابنه الاكبر في الحقل فلما جاء وقرب من البيت سمع صوت الات طرب ورقصا فدعا واحدا من الغلمان وساله ما عسى ان يكون هذا فقال له اخوك جاء فذبح ابوك العجل المسمن لانه قبله سالما فغضب ولم يرد ان يدخل فخرج ابوه يطلب اليه فاجاب وقال لابيه ها انا اخدمك سنين هذا عددها وقط لم اتجاوز وصيتك وجديا “Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.’ “But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time;

  12. الابن الأكبر: The Older Son لم تعطني قط لافرح مع اصدقائي ولكن لما جاء ابنك هذا الذي اكل معيشتك مع الزواني ذبحت له العجل المسمن فقال له يا بني انت معي في كل حين وكل ما لي فهو لك ولكن كان ينبغي ان نفرح ونسر لان اخاك هذا كان ميتا فعاش وكان ضالا فوجد ” (لو 15 : 25 - 32) and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’ “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.” )(Luke 15 : 25 - 32)

  13. 5- المتكأ الأول: 5- The best place: “ في تلك الساعة تقدم التلاميذ الى يسوع قائلين فمن هو اعظم في ملكوت السماوات فدعا يسوع اليه ولدا واقامه في وسطهم وقال الحق اقول لكم ان لم ترجعوا وتصيروا مثل الاولاد فلن تدخلوا ملكوت السماوات فمن وضع نفسه مثل هذا الولد فهو الاعظم في ملكوت السماوات ومن قبل ولدا واحدا مثل هذا باسمي فقد قبلني” (مت 18 : 1 - 5) “At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.” (MT 18: 1-5)

  14. 5- المتكأ الأول: 5- The best place: “وقال للمدعوين مثلا وهو يلاحظ كيف اختاروا المتكات الاولى قائلا لهم متى دعيت من احد الى عرس فلا تتكئ في المتكا الاول لعل اكرم منك يكون قد دعي منه فياتي الذي دعاك واياه ويقول لك اعطي مكانا لهذا فحينئذ تبتدئ بخجل “So He told a parable to those who were invited, when He noted how they chose the best places, saying to them: “When you are invited by anyone to a wedding feast, do not sit down in the best place, lest one more honorable than you be invited by him; and he who invited you and him come and say to you, ‘Give place to this man,’ and then you begin with shame

But when you are invited, go and sit down in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes he may say to you, ‘Friend, go up higher.’ Then you will have glory in the presence of those who sit at the table with you. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” (LK 14: 7-11)

  16. 6-التذمر وعدم الرضا: 6- Complaining and un-satisfaction “ولا تتذمروا كما تذمر ايضا اناس منهم فاهلكهم المهلك فهذه الامور جميعها اصابتهم مثالا وكتبت لانذارنا نحن الذين انتهت الينا اواخر الدهور اذا من يظن انه قائم فلينظر ان لا يسقط ”(1كو10 :10 - 12) “nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer. Now allthese things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.” (1 CO 10: 10-12)

  17. 6-التذمر وعدم الرضا: 6- Complaining and un-satisfaction “ وكان الشعب كانهم يشتكون شرا في اذني الرب وسمع الرب فحمي غضبه فاشتعلت فيهم نار الرب واحرقت في طرف المحلة فصرخ الشعب الى موسى فصلى موسى الى الرب فخمدت النار فدعي اسم ذلك الموضع تبعيرة لان نار الرب اشتعلت فيهم ” (عدد 11 : 1 - 3) “Now when the people complained, it displeased the LORD; for the LORD heard it, and His anger was aroused. So the fire of the LORD burned among them, and consumed some in the outskirts of the camp. Then the people cried out to Moses, and when Moses prayed to the LORD, the fire was quenched. So he called the name of the place Taberah, because the fire of the LORD had burned among them.” (NU 11: 1-3)

  18. “ وفيما كان يسوع في بيت عنيا في بيت سمعان الابرص تقدمت اليه امراة معها قارورة طيب كثير الثمن فسكبته على راسه وهو متكئ فلما راى تلاميذه ذلك اغتاظوا قائلين لماذا هذا الاتلاف لانه كان يمكن ان يباع هذا الطيب بكثير ويعطى للفقراء فعلم يسوع وقال لهم لماذا تزعجون المراة فانها قد عملت بي عملا حسنا لان الفقراء معكم في كل حين و اما انا فلست معكم في كل حين فانها اذ سكبت هذا الطيب على جسدي انما فعلت ذلك لاجل تكفيني الحق اقول لكم حيثما يكرز بهذا الانجيل في كل العالم يخبر ايضا بما فعلته هذه تذكارا لها ” (مت 26 : 6 - 13) “And when Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, a woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table. But when His disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste? For this fragrant oil might have been sold for much and given to the poor.” But when Jesus was aware of it, He said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work for Me. For you have the poor with you always, but Me you do not have always. For in pouring this fragrant oil on My body, she did it for My burial. Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her.” (MT 26: 6-13)
