  1.  Lightning  How lightning is formed Three types of lightning And what makes lightning different.

  2. How is lightning formed? Lightning is formed when ice in the sky bangs into each other creating electricity that gathers in clouds then the positive energy in the cloud gets attracted to the negative energy in the ground.

  3. Three types of lightning • Sheet lightning: Sheet lightning is flashes of lightning in the sky. • Forked lightning: Forked lightning is lightning that branches out and can jump to other clouds. • Ball lightning: Ball lightning are like balls of fire they can go across the ground and get in buildings.

  4. Some differences between these types of lightning. Forked lightning to Ball lightning: Ball lightning travels along the ground while like most lightning Forked lightning jumps from cloud to ground but Forked lightning also jumps from cloud to cloud. Forked lightning to sheet lightning: Sheet lightning are just flashes in the sky while forked lightning is not. Ball lightning to Sheet lightning: Sheet lightning is just a flash in the sky while ball lightning floats across the ground and goes in building.
