  4. FAIR Below are the areas you will need to be familiar with as a faculty member at USF. Select an area by clicking appropriate box. AFD-FAR SAVE ANNUAL REPORT

  5. AFD-FAR Your Assigned Faculty Duties-Faculty Activity Report (AFD-FAR) is the snapshot of all activities in a term such as: • Courses taught • Research • Administration/Advising • Governance (committee work) The AFD-FAR is due to be signed at the beginning of each term when the assignment is given and at the end of the term when the assignment is complete. Please note: You are only required to sign the AFD-FAR electronically. It is not required to enter supporting documents as of 2007.

  6. SAVE The SAVE area in FAIR is for your vita entry. You will need to include all research/publications, organization membership, past education and employment, and presentations. This information is available to USF administration as well as for preparation of your Annual Report.

  7. ANNUAL REPORT The Annual Report is the application that prepares the snapshot of your activities for the entire calendar year. This report is then used for your Annual Review presented to the Faculty Evaluation Committee, Department Chair, and College Dean. Results may or may not be used for salary increases.

  8. FAIR Tutorials Begin Tutorial by selecting specific area AFD-FAR SAVE (coming soon) ANNUAL REPORT (coming soon)

  9. The e-USF portal is located here: https://eusf.admin.usf.edu/default.aspx Sign into FAIR using the e-USF portal

  10. Don’t forget to add the cas\ before your login name! Your login is the same as you would log into your computer

  11. Click on the FAIR System link Click here now

  12. FAIR MAIN SCREEN You are now logged into FAIR. Your screen should look like this:

  13. AFD-FAR On the menu bar (top of screen), click on the AFD-FAR link. Click here now

  14. Select the term you wish to complete from the Existing Record(s) box. Click here now

  15. Your screen should look like this:

  16. Note – You will need to scroll to the bottom of your screen to find the area to sign:

  17. Click on the ‘Sign’ button Click the sign button now

  18. Your name and the date should now appear.

  19. A second ‘sign’ box will be visible if the activity has been posted by your Office Manager. Click that box now. At the end of the term, you will need to sign to acknowledge completion of the activities. Click here now

  20. Congratulations! You have completed this exercise. To go to FAIR using the e-USF portal go to: https://eusf.admin.usf.edu/default.aspx
