This presentation outlines the key features of Underinsured Motorist (UIM) and Medical Expense Protection (MEP) insurance programs, specifically designed for vanpool drivers. The UIM program began in 1995 with a rate of $0.005 per mile, providing important safeguards against uninsured or underinsured drivers, with a coverage limit of $60,000. Additionally, MEP offers secondary medical expense coverage up to $10,000. This session clarifies the coverage details, eligibility, and the importance of these protections for ensuring safety and financial security while driving in a vanpool setting.
