campus.ccsd.net This is the Infinite Campus website. You do not need an App if you are accessing Infinite Campus from your IPad or Phone to work in your Grade Book. Use your AD credentials to log in
Using the App Switcher There are several areas available in Infinite Campus. These include: Campus Tools, Campus Instruction, Campus Learning and Campus Community. Move through the areas using the App Switcher at the top of the screen. Resources for ALL Campus knowledge. Includes documents, scenarios, hand on labs, etc… Individualized curriculum based on tool rights.
Setting Grade Calculation Options Grade Calculations must be set up prior to adding assignments. • In the left tool pane, select Grade Book. • Click the blue Settings arrow to expand the settings drawer.
Setting Grade Calculation Options • ClickGrade Calc Options in the Settings window. • Each Type should be set to “In Progress Grade” except for Citizenship. • Set Grading Scale to District A-F. • Check Weight Categories. • Do not check “Weight Categories” for Semester Exam. • Check the Composite Box for Semester Grade. • Set composite weights. (How will the course be calculated? This is determined by the school site.) • Set No Calculation for Citizenship for Quarter 1 and Quarter 2.
Creating Categories • Categories must be set up prior to adding assignments. • The categories are the “buckets” or areas that you pick for your assignments. Sample: • Homework 0% • Classwork & Quizzes 10% • Projects & Presentations 45% • Tests 45% • Does Not Count Towards Grade 0%
Creating Categories • Click Categories in the Settings window. • ClickAdd to create the first category. • Enter the category name. Put the weight amount in parenthesis after the title. This is for students and parents to view in the Campus Portal. • Enter the category Weight. • Sequence: Add a number toplace the categories in a specific order. (optional)
Creating Categories • Category Placement: Check each course that uses this category. • Grading Task:Check Quarter Grade only. • Save and Close. Repeat each step until all categories have been added. • Verify that your category weights add to 100. • Add a category for Semester Exam. • Weight should be set to zero • Leave sequence at zero • Do not check exclude from calculation
Copying Categories Click Category Copier. Select the class to Copy from and Copy to. (You can only copy to one class at a time.) Click Next.
Setting Preferences Set Preferences for EACH class in ALL terms. • Select Grade Book on the left menu. • Select the first course in the term. • Click the blue Settings arrow to expand the Settings window. • Set Preferences.
Creating Assignments • Click +Add button to create an assignmentor click on Assignment List and select Add. • Enter the assignment Name. • Notes can be added about the assignment. These notes are only seen by the teacher. • Select which classes (section) to add the assignment to.
Creating Assignments Name the assignment. Give the assignment an abbreviation. Select an assigned date and due date. Make sure it is active and on the portal. Select Grading Task: Quarter Grade. Select the Scoring Type: Points
Scoring Assignments Select the correct Section. Select the correct Term. Select the correct Task. Enter individual scores. Expand your assignment window.
Scoring Assignments Fill Scores Multi Score Score Marks If your school is uses minimum F’s, do not use M for missing (calculates as a zero) Save! Saved grades appear on the Campus Portal.
Attendance As a teacher, it is your responsibility to enter attendance everyday by 4pm. Teachers have three choices: present, absent or tardy. You will not have the opportunity to go back and make changes after the current day. Please see your Attendance Wizard to make changes.
Student Groups Teachers can create Student Groups to customize assignments. (IEP, 504, group projects, etc...) Select Student Groups. Click on New. Assign the group a name, select the students for the group, and Save.
