  18. Proof Sketch • (8 – 3) = (7 – 2) = 5 • Why are they same? • That is, the difference between first digit and 10’s complement of the second digit. • (8 – (10 – 7)) = (8 + 7 – 10) = (15 – 10) = 5 • (7 – (10 – 8)) = (7 + 8 – 10) = (15 – 10) = 5 Arithmetic Operations
