Brief Description of Nursing Duties • Record weight of patient • Take temperature using ear thermometer • Take blood pressure measurements • Measure and give shots • Choose appropriate medicines and correct amounts to give to patients • Continue monitoring patients
How Math is used in Nursing • Nurses must know grams, milligrams, etc. to determine weight and amounts of solid medicines. • Nurses must know liters, milliliters, etc. to measure liquids for shots and liquid medicines.

Conclusion In conclusion, I am also interested in pursuing a career as a Nurse. It is a career that is still very needed and useful in society today. I am planning on getting my nursing degree from Texas Christian University (TCU) where my aunt was educated as a nurse.
