  1. The Neighborhood is brought to you by: Oren Hacohen Livnat Jerby Effi Zachut Gili Vaturi

  2. Primary Use Case • Effi, Livnat , Gili & Oren are 20 years old soldiers who fill a toto form out every week. • Unfortunately, there’s no way they can share their form online and express their opinions on it. They must get together to do it. • The Neighborhood application will allow them to fill out the form online, share their opinions (“No, Hapoel is not going to win the derby, I don’t care what they’re saying on TV!”)

  3. Secondary Use Case • Effi, Livnat , Gili & Oren are 25 years old Students who are too broke to fill a toto form out every week (they spent all their money on a flat in Tel Aviv). • The Neighborhood toto application will allow them to play against each other online and see who’s winning (Don’t worry, the money is only virtual).

  4. Features & Road Map • Beta Version (Early December) • A few friends can fill out and comment on a single toto form. • Final Version • How much money is the form going to cost? What is the potential profit? • Where is the nearest toto station? (Using Google Maps) • Managing payment turns. • Statistics and suggestions for future improvements. (TBD) • A few friends can play against each other (head to head mode) • Use Virtual Money to make it more interesting. • Customize personal prizes (Cola cans, Virtual trophies, etc). • Hold usage history and past “champions”. • Customize your own user-defined tournaments. • Nice To Have • Support additional games (Winner, International Soccer Matches, Tennis…)

  5. Architecture in a Nutshell • External sources • We will use Dapper.net (or our own written class) to get the matches and results automatically from the Toto Web site. • Server Side • All usage data and history will be held in a DB (probably GQL on Google’s server). • Create and transform the XML we got from the Toto Sites into an online toto game. • Client Side • Our gadget is a Google WAVE extension (cause it’s all about sharing). • Jave Script based gadget.
