  2. University of Bath The University The University of Bath is one of the UK’s leading universities with a vibrant and innovative academic community. Its friendly campus overlooks the beautiful UNESCO world heritage city of Bath. Bath is ranked in the top ten of ALL national league tables and is 3rd behind only Cambridge and Oxford in the 2013 Sunday Times league table. The University has over 15,000 students including 3,500 international students from around the globe.

University of Bath Outstanding Students Our students are amongst the happiest in the UK - in the 2012 National Student Survey our students have an overall satisfaction rate of 91% ranking us 5th in the national table of over 250 institutes. Our Careers Advisory Service has links with 5,000 employers and 83% of employed first degree graduates are in the top three groups (professional, managerial or associate professional), compared with 63% nationally. At 92% we have one of the highest completion rates for undergraduates in the UK.

  4. University of Bath Prominent inResearch The University has a research portfolio worth more than £91 million. The 2008 Research Assessment Exercise confirmed the world class standing of Bath with the University ranked 18th among the UK’s 159 universities. Our research ethos has a strong focus upon impact, tackling issues of global significance - from developing new drugs to cure breast cancer to working with Ford to develop fuel efficient cars.

University of Bath Strong Links with Business Bath runs one of the largest and most established placement schemes in UK Higher Education with nearly 60% of students undertaking a year long work placement. The University has a strong record of successful spin-out companies and an Innovation Centre which provides practical support and expertise to local technology enterprises as well as those that emerge from its students and academic research base.

  6. University of Bath Students’ Union Our Students’ Union is one of the best in the UK - ranked in the top three by the National Union of Students (NUS). It won a national award in 2011 for the excellent support it provides.

University of Bath Sporting Success • The University boasts a world-class £35m Sports Training Village used daily by students, staff, elite athletes and the local community. • These fantastic facilities were home to 25 Olympic and Paralympic athletes who competed at London 2012. Bath based athletes and alumni won an  amazing 11 medals this summer. • We also hosted the Olympic Torch Relay during its 800 mile trip round the UK in the run up to the Games.
