  1. Grant programmes at the Department of Arts, Literature and Libraries Cultural activities in the area of professional arts Programme of Government Support for Professional Theatres, Orchestras and Choirs Programme of Creative and Training Residencies Public Information Services of Libraries

Cultural activities in the field of professional arts: Classical /alternative music, theatre/dance, visual arts, literature • Support for cultural and artistic activities and provision of cultural services to the public • Non-profit projects (other than those of contributory organisations of the Ministry of Culture), the events must take place in the Czech Republic • Announcement of the selection procedure in August, submission of applications by the end of September, results by the end of February

Programme of Government Support for Theatres, Orchestras and Choirs: • Based on the principle of grouping of the funds of the government, regions and municipalities • Support to year-round artistic activities of regional cultural institutions (support for new productions, young artists, events of supra-regional importance, equal access to cultural heritage...) • Eligible applicants are regional/municipal contributory organisations and other legal entities • Announcement in January (upon the approval of the budget), applications by the end of February, results in April

  4. Programme of Creative and Training Residencies: • For two disciplines each year – this year music and literature, next year visual arts and theatre/dance • For natural persons, contribution to the costs incurred + support for creative work or training • Support for creative work -> the result must be a work of art • Support for training – residencies at foreign cultural institutions, studies at foreign art schools • Announcement at the end of the year, deadline at the beginning of February, results by the end of April

Public Information Services of Libraries • For operators of libraries registered pursuant to the Libraries Act (by the Ministry of Culture) • With sub-programmes for digitalisation and restoration of books • Other sub-programmes: further education of library employees, information centres, electronic information resources, general catalogue of the CR, retrospective conversion, microfilming, presentation of documents … • Announcement – November, deadline for applications – December, final decisions by the end of March
