Overview of IEEE 802.20 Working Group Session - March 2003

The IEEE 802.20 Working Group held a successful session on March 14, 2003, with a record attendance of 237 individuals, significantly up from 61 in January 2003. The group included notable members from major 3G companies such as DoCoMo, Ericsson, and Qualcomm, as well as numerous service providers and consultants. A total of 185 individuals received voting rights during this session. Key leadership positions were filled, with Jerry Upton as Chair and Gang Wu as Procedural Vice Chair. A proposal for a name change was deferred for further discussion.
