  1. This And This Are NOT the same System and Application Software By-Jordan Bertholf

  2. First, File Types (.exe) .exe is a file type that is used for applications or software that is required to be opened for usage. (.exe icon) (When .exe is used, you need to double click on that file to use it.)

  3. What Is Software??? Software is anything that you USE on a computer, not hardware, those are the internal parts of a computer. Examples of software are Adobe Photoshop, PowerPoint, Word etc…. Photoshop Icon Software is ALMOST ALWAYS going to use the .exe file type.

  4. How Does Software Work?? It even has the tip for me, but, yuck….Windows XP Software, as said before, is used by double clicking on the icon/file that said software is associated with. Either on your desktop or in your computer directories.

  5. System Software System Software is slightly different. It is what the Operating System uses (Ex-Windows 7,Mac OSX) for operating. Like windows uses System32 to operate it’s .dll files (Another thing entirely) System software is often confused with Application Software

  6. Similarities and Differences These two are very alike and different in many ways. See how many you can think of with this diagram.
