  1. COVID-19 is a new disease containing a large family of viruses known as Coronavirus that can damage the lungs and airways of the people. World Health Organization (WHO) decided to give the new name COVID-19 to Coronavirus disease on 11 February 2020. The first case of Coronavirus was reported in Wuhan, China on December 31. The symptoms of this disease are just like the pneumonia. On January 30, 2020, the disease is declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT COVID-19?   2. WHO declared COVID-19 as a global pandemic on March 11 stating that the disease can be controllable if proper precautionary measures taken by the States and people. It is reported that more than 126,140 people have been infected with this disease across nearly 114 countries. Till now little over 4,600 deaths have been reported due to Coronavirus in the world. A comprehensive approach is the need of the hour to prevent this deadly disease from spreading. Therefore, US$ 675 million has been sought by the international community to protect States having weaker health systems as part of its Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan.   3. In this era of Corona global epidemic, it is very much necessary for people to follow the way of restraint like they should avoid the crowd and avoid getting out of the house and nowadays.
