On January 21, 2010, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) hosted a meeting aimed at enhancing collaboration among practitioners focused on protecting human health and the environment. The session highlighted EPA’s mission to enforce regulations, grant funding, study environmental issues, and promote public engagement. Participants learned about the agency's structure, including its regional offices and laboratories, and discussed strategies for effective public involvement in environmental decision-making. This collaborative effort seeks to address key issues affecting diverse communities.
