  1. I Spy With My Little Eye… Mrs. Maurer’s 3rd Grade Class 2013-2014

  2. Take a peek. Can you see a polka dotted dog? I bet you can! Do you spy a blue dog? Can you spot a book? Find these things to know why these things are important to the story Where is Polka Dots? by Samantha Berger.

  3. Take a look! Can you find a pole? I spy a balloon. Do you? Take a peek! Can you see make up? Can you find all these things? I bet you I can! Read Clifford At the Circus by Norman Bridwell to see how all these things are used in the story.

  4. Take a peek. Do you spy a red ball? I spy a hat. Do you? Take a look. Can you find a cup? Don’t say you can’t! I spy a baseball - do you? Read Hop on Pop by Dr. Seuss to find out how these things are important in the story.

  5. Take a peek! Do you see a boat? Take a look! I see a snort. Can you find it, too? Can you spot a hen? I’ll bet you can! Read Are You My Mother? By P.D Eastman to find out how these things help the baby bird find his mother.

  6. Take a peek. Do you spot a shoe? I bet you do? Can you see a tv? Look hard. Can you find gum? Can you spot a skateboard? I hope you can! Read the book Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible No Good Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst to see how all the items relate to how things go wrong.

  7. I spy a small house. Do you see it? I’ll give you a hint: it’s green and yellow. Do you see a potato? I do! Take a peek. Do you see a lightning bolt? Don’t get struck! Read Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs by Judi Barrett to see how this stuff is important in the story.

  8. Do you see a boy? Can you find a jar? Take a look. Do you see a dump truck? I bet you do. Read I Spy Fly Guy by Tedd Arnold to find out how these things help tell the story.

  9. Take a look! Do you see a football? I spy with my eye a scoreboard. Can you find it, too? Look very carefully. Do you see a football helmet? Read Hooray for Fly Guy by Tedd Arnold to find these important things.

  10. Take a look! Do you see an elephant? I think you can. Can you find a horse? And last but not least, I spy a camel! Can you spot it? Read The Shape of Me and Other Stuff by Dr. Seuss to find how these things are important in the story.

  11. Take a peek. Do you spot a car? Can you find a boat? Read Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss to see how the objects fit in the story. Can you see a train?

  12. Take some time. Can you spy a mailbox? Can you find a letter? I hope you can. Sneak a peek. Do you see a pencil? This is the last thing, you can’t give up now. I can see a white paper. Can you spot it? Look in The Letter by Arnold Lobel to find out why these objects are important in the story.

  13. I spy with my little eye a tiny mouse. Can you see it? I bet you can. Take a look. Can you see a bear with brown hair? I can. Take a peek. Do you see a boy? Can you find him? Can you spot a mitten? I bet you can. Read The Mitten by Jan Brett to find how these things are important to the story.

  14. Take a look. Can you find a hat? Don’t say you can’t. Do you see a bike? I can. Take a peek. Can you spot a cow? Try to find a jet. Read Marvin K. Mooney Will You Please Go Now by Dr. Seuss to find out how these things are important in the story.

  15. I see a train. Do you see it too? Take a peek. Can you find a clown to meet? Take a look. Can you see 3 houses? Read The Little Engine that Could by Watty Piper to find how all these things are used in this story.

  16. I see a tree. Can you find it too? I see the letter A. I hope you can find it. I found a coconut. Watch out it’s really hard to find. I found the letter J. Can you find it, too? The last thing you need to look for is the letter E. Read ChickaChicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin , Jr. and John Archombault to find out why these things are important.

  17. Take a peek! Do you see a building block? Take a look. I spy a book. Can you find it? Do you notice the mouse? I bet you do. Can you spot a pencil? I bet you won`t find the notebook! Read If You Take a Mouse to School by Laura Numeroff to find out why these objects are important to this book.

  18. Take a look. I spy a stethoscope. Can you spy one, too? Look carefully and you’ll see a red, smooth, shiny cellphone. Take a peek. I spy a stack of books. Can you spot them? Hopefully you can. Last but not least the hardest object to spy. Can you find a daisy? I think you can try. Read Daisy Head Mayzie by Dr. Seuss to find out how these objects help tell the story.

  19. Take a peek. Can you see a Mom? I bet you can. Can you find a watch? You better look quick before time gets away from you. Look for a baby. You may hear it before you see it. Search high and low for one last thing. A heart could be hidden by anything. Read the book Love You Forever by Robert Munsch and Sheila Mcgraw to find out how these things relate to the story.

  20. Take a look. I spy a sheep. Can you find it? I see a fish. Do you see it? Here is a hint: it is red. I do not see a house, but I spy a bike. Can you spot it? Read One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss and see why all of these objects are important in the book.
