  4. Rehearsal • Escape from Saigon • Webquest • Discussion Questions based on book and webquest • Introducing guest speaker • Preparing questions

  5. Showtime • Sgt. Ericka Garcia discusses experiences in Afghanistan and adjusting to civilian life with students. • Shows students gear she used while in Afghanistan • Explains to students how gear was used and allows students in small groups come up and look the items more closely

  6. Sgt. Garcia leads discussion on treatment of Veterans in the United States

  7. That’s a Wrap! • Sgt. Garcia gives students an opportunity to ask questions about her experiences and how she overcame the changes when she returned to the United States.

  8. Reflection • Students are to reflect what they learned from guest speaker experience in journals.
