  2. Offer of Programmes Community Colleges which have not received the IGNOU representatives in different bodies (Community College Board, Academic Committee and Examination Committee) cannot offer their programmes in Jan 2012 Cycle.

  3. Offer of Programmes Community Colleges which have got the IGNOU representatives in different bodies can offer only the existing programmes.  They cannot offer new programmes in Jan 2012 Cycle. 

  4. Validation of Programmes • The programmes which has already been approved and codified (both programmes and courses) may be offered. • The community colleges may continue to offer the Non-credit CustomisedProgrammes, except Paramedicals.

  5. new programmes by the newly registered colleges Because of the review of the Regulatory Bodies new programmes by the newly registered community colleges and also the existing community colleges are being kept on hold for Jan, 2012 Cycle.

  6. Examinations If you can ensure proper identification of paper setters, moderators, evaluators and Centre Superintendent and can also ensure proper custody of confidential documents, you may go ahead with conduct of examinations.

  7. Examinations contd… In no case students whose registration has not taken place be allowed to appear for examinations. If this clause is violated, IGNOU should not be held responsible for non-declaration of results.

  8. Examinations contd… Evaluation Methodology should be fully commensurate with the teaching methodology. This should be ensured by judiciously proportionating the maximum marks for theory, practical, viva, internship/project.

  10. Vertical Mobility Because of review Vertical Mobility to Third Year of BA/BCOM/BSW/BCA/BTS/BIHM will be kept on hold for the January 2012 Cycle

  11. Admission Regularisation • July 2011 Admission stands closed. • The total enrolment is 49354. • No further request for extension of date/adjustment, etc. will be entertained

  12. Categorization of Programmes with Upper Fee level limit

  13. categorization of programmes is defined on the basis of following factors: • Physical Infrastructure such as labs, classrooms, equipments, etc needed for a programme • Quality, Availability and Cost of Faculty needed for the programme • Type and Level of Skills to be developed such as transactional skills, creative skills, technical, conceptual and articulate skills • Paying capacity of students, compensation levels available to students after the programmes

  20. The University may require duly audited statement of accounts in respect of fees from the Community Colleges along with authenticated cash-book.  These documents may please be kept ready so that you are able to produce them as and when required.

  22. Next Admission Cycle We are not going to take any admission for Jan 2012 Cycle for Paramedical Programmes.

  23. Prior to July 2011 The schedule has been prepared with reference to semesters most of which are already over. Prior to July 2011, the durations were as under: • Certificate - 6 Months • Diploma - 1 Year • Associate Degree - 2 Years

  24. From July 2011 From July 2011, the durations have got changed as under: • Certificate - 1 Year • Diploma - 2 Years • Associate Degree - Abolished

  25. Next Examination Cycle For the July 2011 registrations, first examination will be conducted in June 2012.

  34. Syllabus for Basic Foundation Course (8 Credits) The syllabus for Basic Foundation Course for 8 Credits has been prepared following required contents from the Class XI and Class XII Syllabus for Physics, Biology, Chemistry, etc. as per the NCERT Textbooks.

  35. The syllabus of the common 8-Credits Foundation Course in Basic Science has been inbuilt with the curriculum

  36. These syllabi will come into effect formally after its approval by the Academic Council of IGNOU. However, since these have been prepared by the experts you may start the teaching-learning transactions with the help of this document.

  37. We shall be sending the syllabi of other programmes as and when they are ready

  38. Question Banks • We would be preparing Question Banks for the Courses under Paramedical Programmes. • We request you to provide names of experts who can help us in this activity.

  39. Academic Committee must verify the documents of the hospitals with which tie-ups are going to happen in respect of, how large is the hospital, Teachers and Student Ratio, relevant equipment as per programmes offered by Community College, Patient turnout in hospital, updated equipments, workload of hospitals, number of beds at the hospitals, etc.
