How to send messages to students and other SimpleVLE users. Click the 'Messages' button. There are two ways you can message members on SimpleVLE. You can message a member from their profile page or you can compose a new message from your messages page.

  1. How to send messages to students and other SimpleVLE users

  2. Click the 'Messages' button

  3. There are two ways you can message members on SimpleVLE. You can message a member from their profile page or you can compose a new message from your messages page. Click the 'Compose' button to compose a new message

  4. Click the 'Send To' link

  5. Click the diamond beside the class you wish to expand

  6. You can select a single student and send that student a message.

  7. Or you can select an entire class and send the whole class a message. You can send multiple classes a message as well.

  8. Click the search bar to search for members on SimpleVLE

  9. Enter name to search Click the 'search' icon

  10. Click the checkbox beside the user's name that you wish to send a message to.

  11. Click the 'Add +' icon

  12. Click the link if you wish to edit the recipient list.

  13. Click the 'Add +' icon to return to the message

  14. Click the subject text field to enter a subject for your message

  15. Click the large text area to enter your message

  16. You have the option to send a notice to the user's email address that they used to register for SimpleVLE. Click the check box beside 'Send notification to user's email address'

  17. Click the 'Send Email' button to send the message

  18. Click the 'Sent' link to view the messages you have sent

  19. You can click the message that you just sent to view it in its entirety.

  20. To send a message to a particular student, you can browse to your profile

  21. Click one of your classes

  22. Then choose the student you want to send a message to

  23. Click the 'Send message' button next to his profile picture

  24. Repeat previous steps to send a personal message to your student

  25. Finally, if you need to delete a message, simply click the trash can icon beside that particular message.

  26. Click 'Yes, delete it' to permanently delete the message.
