  2. Passive Transport • Does NOT require energy • Moves substances from higher to lower concentration

  3. Types of Passive Transport • Diffusion - movement of any type of particle from high concentration to low concentration

  4. Types of Passive Transport • Osmosis - movement of water across a selectively permeable membrane from higher to lower concentration

  5. Types of Passive Transport • Facilitated Diffusion - movement of molecules across a cell membrane with the help of transport proteins (faster than regular diffusion)
