Unit 2, Day 6 • Copy the following vocabulary words: • Viciously- to do something violently or cruelly. • Immediately- to do something without delay. • Frantic- feeling or showing a lot of fear and worry • Shelter- a structure that covers or protects people or things • Gingerly- very cautious or careful

  3. Unit 2, Day 6 Singular and Plural Nouns • Grammar Workbook Pages 65-66 • Guided Practice: 1-10 pg. 65& 1-5 pg. 66 • Utry: 11-20 & 6-15 pg. 66

  4. Unit 2, Day 7 • Warm-up: Change these singular nouns to plural nouns. • Buzz • Rodeo • Potato • Piano • Day • Turkey • City • Wife • Roof • Penny

  5. Unit 2, Day 7 • Discuss before we read: • Why does the author use the word “Secret” with a capital letter? • How does Brian’s parent’s divorce make him question his identity? • Read Chapters 5-6 • Review personal pronouns. • Find 5 personal pronouns in the chapters you read today.

  6. Unit 2, Day 8 • Warm-up: Write an S above every singular noun and a P above every plural noun. • The baby has outgrown his coat and gloves. • I have to go to two birthday parties this weekend. • Lions live on the plain, and tigers live in the jungle. • The car has four flat tires. • Jamie has read several books about dogs.

  10. Unit 2, Day 5 • Warm-up: Study vocabulary, singular and plural nouns. • Assessment • Turn in test and answer sheet. • Read Library book or write.
