  2. Question Tag With To Be 2.1.- El Verbo To Be.- Significa Ser o Estar. Puede servir como verbo principal o como auxiliar. En este caso lo usamos como auxiliar pues podemos realizar todas las acciones gramaticales con el. 2.2.- Conjugación.- 1.- En el presente tiene tres (3) formas de conjugación: AM – IS – ARE. Teniendo que: Am, se usa sólo con el pronombre I. Is, se usa con los pronombres He, She, It o su equivalente en nombre o sustantivo. Are, se usa con los pronombres We, You, They o su equivalente en nombre o sustantivos.

  3. Question Tag With To Be 2.2.- Conjugación.- 2.- En el pasado tiene dos (2) formas de conjugación: WAS – WERE. Teniendo que: Was, se usa con los pronombre I, He, She, It o su equivalente en nombre o sustantivo. Were, se usa con los pronombres We, You, They o su equivalente en nombre o sustantivos. Ex.: John is a handsome boy. Ruben was in the park. Mary is an attractive girl. The boys were good players. I am your friend. The students are in class.

Question Tag With To Be 2.2.- Conjugación.- 3.- En resumen, la conjugación del Verbo To Be, tanto afirmando como negando, en presente y pasado es: Negando Presente – Pasado Am not – Wasn’t Aren’t – Weren’t Isn’t – Wasn’t Isn’t – Wasn’t Isn’t – Wasn’t Aren’t – Weren’t Aren’t – Weren’t Afirmando Presente – Pasado Am – Was Are – Were Is – Was Is – Was Is – Was Are – Were Are - Were Pronombres I You He She It We They

Question Tag With To Be 2.2.- Conjugación.- Ejemplos de oraciones afirmando y negando con el Verbo To Be en presente y pasado: a.- Albert is in the classroom / Albert isn’t in the classroom. b.- You are here / You aren’t here. c.- The boys were studying / The boys weren’t studying. d.- Rosa was at the school / Rosa wasn’t at the school. e.- I am reading a book / I am not reading a book.

  6. Question Tag With To Be 2.3.- Question Tag.- Se sigue, para su aplicación, las reglas que ya se enumeraron en el Tema 01, es decir: 1.- Si la oración afirma, el Question Tag niega. Ex.: a.- Albert is in the classroom, isn’t he? b.- You are here, aren’t you?. c.- The boys were studying, weren’t they? d.- Rosa was at the school, wasn’t she? e.- I am reading a book, am not me? NOTA: Cuando usamos I am en la oración afirmativa, el Question Tag debe hacerse usando Am Not Me.

  7. Question Tag With To Be 2.3.- Question Tag.- 2.- Si la oración niega, el Question Tag afirma. Ex.: a.- Albert isn’t in the classroom, is he? b.- You aren’t here, are you?. c.- The boys weren’t studying, were they? d.- Rosa wasn’t at the school, was she? e.- I am not reading a book, am I?

Question Tag With To Be 2.4.- Practique.- Escriba el Question Tag que le corresponda a cada oración: 1.- The books are open. 2.- The cat isn’t on the roof. 3.- My father wasn’t a tall man. 4.- Your sister is very beautiful. 5.- The students were in the school. 6.- Luis was at the office. 7.- Alice isn’t sick. 8.- My house wasn’t clean. 9.- Richard is am excellent lawyer. 10.- Ruben and Jose aren’t friends.
