French Regulation for (international) Master Programme • For national master programme : Sub-decree 2002, 25 April – Ministry of Higher Education • For international master programme : no specific rules but a few requirements released by the CDEFI (board gathering all the French graduate schools deans) • Graduate School / Higher Education College in Engineering are able to deliver international Master’s degree GAVA – 2nd meeting – London – VetAgro Sup Clermont/Lyon

Accreditationprocess in France for joint masters’ degree • Accreditation is managed under the authority of the Ministry of Higher Education • With a co-supervision in the case of VAS by the Ministry in charge of Agriculture • If the proposal is submitted by Oct 2011, the master programme could start from Sep 2012 GAVA – 2nd meeting – London – VetAgro Sup Clermont/Lyon

  13. Accreditationprocess in France for joint masters’ degree • Suggestion : • 2012 : experimentalyear • 2013 : 31st of March: Erasmus Mundus Deadline for submission • Co-accreditation? Co-graduation? Standard maters’ curriculum in France • 120 ECTS (European Credit Transfert System) • 2 years or 4 semesters : S7, S8, S9 and S10 Recommandation: 18h/week of teaching (max) • S7&S8: courses • S9: specialization • S10: A six month training period carried out on/in a farm/firm or NGOs or local public authorities (in France or abroad) GAVA – 2nd meeting – London – VetAgro Sup Clermont/Lyon
