  6. MAKNO OUTPUT "When I say 'subjugated knowledges' I mean two things. On the one hand, I am referring to historical contents that have been buried or masked in functional coherences or formal systemizations. [In other words, I am referring to] blocks of historical knowledges that were present in the functional and systematic ensembles, but which were masked, and the critique was able to reveal their existence by using, obviously enough, the tools of scholarship. Second, when I say 'subjugated knowledges' I am also referring to a whole series of knowledges that have been disqualified as...insufficiently elaborated knowledges: naive knowleges, hierarchically inferior knowledges, knowledges that are below the required level of erudition or scientificity" (Foucault).

  7. INSTITUTE FOR UNSUBJUGATIVE KNOWLEDGE • Legal person (establishment of a new institution) • New research center • Professional engagement (as opposed to non-professional activism) • Non policy-oriented research • Research for the social change

  8. Counter to standard systems of knowledge, revealing how knowledge is built on exclusion and confinement, and how hidden forms of knowledge actually provide the limits of the knowledges which disqualify them. • Knowledge production as a tool of emancipation, self-organisation, self-confidence • Struggle against the coercion of a theoretical, unitary, formal and scientific discourse
