My Experience in using Panotop Dr. Winnie S.C. Leung Assistant Professor, Accounting School of Business Faculty of Business and Economics October 15, 2014
I am a new user. • I learnt Panopto last year. • I used Panopto in a few occasions in the last two semesters. • I frequently use Panopto this semester because I have a mixed mode of teaching in the course “Introduction to Financial Accounting”.
Mixed Mode of Teaching • I hold a 3-hour face-to-face lecture every week and I record the lecture using Panopto. • Students have the flexibility of either attending the face-to-face lecture or watching the video lectures whenever they have access to Moodle. • Let me show you how I do it.
In the near future I will try the following features of Panopto: • Live function – to allow interactions with more students instantly • Edit function – to allow higher efficiency in delivering the videos Just want to familiarize myself with Panopto step by step ^.^
Expectation and Outcome on using Panotop So far, I am satisfied in using Panopto: • It is easy to learn – Thanks to Ada! • It supports the flexibility of my course. Students appreciate the flexibility the most in my course. • I do not need any equipment myself. • It is easy to use: • easy to produce the video • easy to upload the video • easy to access by students • The capacity is high and the uploading process is fast. • Good customer service – Thanks to our University eLearning Team and IT Team!
I look forward to • Better classroom equipment support • More creative features
Classroom Support • Not all classrooms have Panopto. • In those classrooms with Panopto, not all of them have the necessary equipment to make good use of Panopto.
More creative features Some of my thoughts: • Zoom-in, Zoom-out feature – to allow closer relation with students • More editing tools
