Our multi-disciplinary team in York offers specialized autism diagnosis services for children under 5. The paediatric service includes assessments by paediatricians, speech and language therapists, clinical psychologists, and educational psychologists. We collaborate with parents, schools, and other professionals to gather essential information using the ICD-10 criteria. The Autism Forum meets monthly to discuss cases and ensure thorough evaluations. We consider the Triad of Impairment: social interaction, imagination, communication, and repetitive behaviors. Outcomes may include diagnoses of autism, atypical autism, or no diagnosis at this time.
