Engaging Fourth Graders in Illinois Government: A WBL Project

This WBL project aims to educate fourth-grade students about the state government of Illinois. Through interactive and engaging activities, students will learn who the key members of the state government are and understand their roles.   2. Topic and Audience • My WBL project will teach fourth grade students about the state government of Illinois. • They will learn about some of the people involved and the roles they perform.

  3. Goals & Objectives • Upon completion of the activities included in my WBL project on Illinois students will be able to accurately: • Name key members of the state government and describe their role.

  4. Instructional Strategies • Students will be involved in interactive, engaging activities that allow them to learn in an alternative manner. • Students will be able to work at their own pace.

  5. Ideas for Interactivity • I would like to include a variety of features and activities in my project including: • Drag and drop activities • Pictures • Descriptive text • Quizzes • Links to other sites

  6. Technical Challenges • Learning to use and incorporate the various Dreamweaver tools needed for what I am envisioning. • Being able to include all of the features I want to be in my project.
