  3. abstract • The flood • A flood is an event that occurs when the flow of excess water to soak the land. [1] Briefing flood European Union defines flood as temporary submersion by water on land not usually submerged in water. [2] In the sense of "flowing water", the word can also be mean tidal influx. Flooding caused by the volume of water in a body of water such as rivers or lakes overflow or break dams so that water out of the limits of nature. [3]
