  2. Salvation and the Holy Spirit Remember that God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are One God in essence and three in personality (1 John 5:7) We do not worship three gods but One God. We break out the events at salvation to better understand what God has given us and the roles that the Father, Son and Spirit play in our salvationwith the understanding that each one is One God!

  3. Salvation and The Holy Spirit Allow us to enter the Kingdom of God when born of the Spirit (John 3:5). Our human spirit is made alive (“quickened”) by the Holy Spirit after being dormant (John 6:63) Are given the Spirit of truthwho guides us into truth(John 15:26). Have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9). Will raise up our mortal bodies in the end times (Romans 8:11)

Salvation and The Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of adoption (Romans 8:15) The Holy Spirit is sent into our hearts(1 Cor. 2:12; Gal. 4:6) The Holy Spirit makes intercession for us with groanings “sighs” that cannot be uttered(Romans 8:26). The Holy Spirit helps us to know the things that God has freely given to us(1 Cor. 2:12). Washed, sanctified and justified by the power of the Holy Spirit(Romans 15:16, 1 Cor. 6:11, 1 Peter 1:2).

Salvation and The Holy Spirit Can glorify God in our body and in our spirit (1 Cor. 6:20) because of the Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to believers at salvation(1 Cor. 12:4) Baptized in one body by the Holy Spirit, the body of Christ(1 Cor. 12:13). The Holy Spirit writes the epistle of Christ into the “flesh tables” of the heart (2 Cor. 3:3). The Holy Spirit gives us liberty(2 Cor. 3:17).

  6. Salvation and The Holy Spirit Can receive the fruits of the Spirit – love, joy, longsuffering, etc.(Gal. 5:22). Will reap life everlasting by sowing in the Spirit (Gal. 6:8). Sealed by the Holy Spirituntil the day of redemption(Eph. 1:13; 4:30) Have built together a habitation for God through the Spirit(Eph. 2:22). Have joy through the Holy Spirit (Acts 13:52; 1 Thess. 1:6)

  7. Salvation and The Holy Spirit The Holy Ghost fills our hearts with the love of God (Rom. 5:5). Filed with hope (Rom. 15:13). Our body is made the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 6:19) Empowers us to say Jesus is Lord (1 Cor. 12:3). Our spirit is renewed by the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5).

  8. Salvation and The Holy Spirit Sometimes at salvation accompanied by signs and wonders, and various miracles, and gift of the Holy Ghost (Hebrews 2:4). The Holy Ghost allows us to hear the voice of God (Hebrews 3:7). The Holy Spirit empowers us for Christian service (Matt. 29:18-20).
