  2. Where does mission start? Who initiates mission? Are we following the missionary spirit? Or have we been out in front? Does he pioneer or are we telling him what to do?

  3. Missio Dei • It’s not the church that has a mission but the God of mission that has a church. • Mission is rooted and founded in the Triune God. • The Father sends the Son, The Father and Son commission and send the Spirit in perfect unity.

  4. The Trinitarian foundation of mission

  5. Perichoresis • “Perichoresis reminds us of community without uniformity and personhood without individualism.” Jurgen Moltmann • “Each person belongs to the other.” Athanasius • “Openness and self revelation of God. Co existence, co relatedness and self surrender.” Leonardo Boff

  6. “If mission is not the result of who God is but is who God is, if God is as much mission as love, mission will be central to the church. It will never be a second step. Mission will not be extra to the life of the community of faith.” Moynagh

  7. The Trinity is the exact opposite of a community that exists for itself The Perichoretic dance between three persons of the Trinity invites us to remember that we are called to join a dance! The Trinitarian God reminds us that he is always “already” The Trinitarian God is a model for a community in mission
