Gene Expression Analysis of CHS Variants in Plant Species

This study investigates the expression mechanisms of four CHS gene variants: AtCHS, MdCHS1, PsCHS1a, and PhCHSA. Through luciferase reporter assays, we analyze their activity and regulatory patterns in various plant tissues. Understanding the functional roles of these genes is crucial for enhancing flavonoid biosynthesis, a pathway essential for plant defense and pigmentation. The findings could inform genetic engineering strategies aimed at improving crop quality and stress resistance.
