A frequent speaker at airline conferences, Udom Tantiprasongchai possesses nearly a decade of experience in the industry. He has attended the annual Asia-Pacific Airfinance Conference and Aircraft Interiors Expo Asia in Hong Kong, the World Route Development Forum in Dubai, the World Low Cost Airlines Congress in London, and other gatherings of airline professionals. Udom Tantiprasongchai studied at Harvard University in Massachusetts through the Senior Distinguished Executive Program. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Ramkhamhaeng University in his native country, Thailand. In 1995, Tantiprasongchai founded Orient Thai Airlines under the maxim, “Do it by Heart.” Based in Bangkok, Thailand, the business operates out of Suvarnabhumi Airport, offering passenger services throughout Southeast Asia. It recently obtained options for twenty-four additional aircraft from jet production companies Bombardier, Embraer, and Sukhoi as part of Tantiprasongchai’s new development plan to surpass rival airlines in a declining economy. Udom Tantiprasongchai acted as Chief Executive Officer of Orient Thai Airlines for a number of years before letting Mr. Kajit Habanananda succeed him. He now serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board, employing his skills in strategic planning and development. Since competition among airlines has increased, partly due to the ASEAN Open Sky Policy, Tantiprasongchai’s approach will entail providing clients with exceptional customer service focused on punctuality, safety, and in-flight passenger comfort. He also initiated a membership card with benefits for frequent flyers. Additionally, Udom Tantiprasongchai assists with Orient Thai's numerous community service programs, including the support of young athletes, contributions to relief efforts, and donations of a portion of ticket proceeds to the Wishing Well Foundation. The company helps benefit education by selling a set of twelve postcards with designs by local children.
