This creative analogy compares the components of a cell to features of a shopping mall. The cell membrane acts as the mall's wall, protecting its contents. The cytoplasm is likened to the parking lot, while lysosomes are compared to a cleaning supply room that keeps the mall tidy. Mitochondria serve as the power lines, ribosomes are the food courts, and the endoplasmic reticulum is akin to the bathrooms leading to the sewer. Other components, like the Golgi body, nuclear membrane, and manager, are also illustrated through mall elements, providing a fun way to understand cellular biology.

Mall’s are like a cell. By Rachel <3
Cell membrane • A cell membrane is like a wall in a shopping mall. The wall keeps everything safe and sound in a mall. A cell membrane surrounds a shopping mall!!!!!
Cytoplasm • A parking lot outside a mall is like a cytoplasm!!
Lysosomes • A cleaning supply room in a shopping mall you use to keep your mall clean. The chemicals are like lysosomes.
Mitochondria • Power lines. Power lines outside a shopping mall create the power.
Ribosome • The food courts. Food courts in a mall are like Ribosomes because you eat stuff.
Endoplasmic Reticulum • Bathroom. A bathroom in a shopping mall is like Endoplasmic Reticulum because it leads to a sewer.
Golgi Body A supply truck is like a Golgi body because it transports items.
Nuclear Membrane • Body guard. A body guard protects celebrities and singers in shopping malls.
Nucleus • Manager. A manager tells the workers he/she is boss and not them and gives out the rules.
Chromosomes • A chromosome is like CSI shows in the theater in a shopping mall.
