    5. We just want God to fix us with no effort on our part. Movies and TV teach us that all problems are solved in two hours or less. Discipline is painful and inconvenient. When we compare with other people, it looks like they had an easier time than us. GROWTH TAKES TIME

    6. 2 Peter 1:5-7 (NIV) For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. Faith Excitement, belief, vision Goodness Doing the right thing Knowledge Understanding what youre doing Self-control Doing it in a disciplined way Perseverance - Doing it when the adrenaline runs out Godliness Having a spiritual, prophetic quality Brotherly kindness Noticing that other people are important Love Being fully mature GROWTH POINTS

    9. Meditate on 2 Peter 1:5-7. Read it in several Bible versions Think about your current growth point and examine which of the eight stages youre in. WHAT THEN SHALL WE DO?
