This is achieved by sales and marketing to the principle segments of both the domestic and international travel trade and consumer. In particular, LA INC. represents the LA destination to the meetings and convention industry nationwide; the international travel trade and traveler; the cruise passenger and cruise lines; the domestic leisure traveler; as well as the worldwide travel media.

Definition of a Convention What is a Convention? • A Citywide Convention for Los Angeles is defined as a meeting/convention (event requiring sleeping rooms, meeting space, exhibit space and/or food and beverage, etc.) held in Los Angeles utilizing the Los Angeles Convention Center (“LACC”) and a minimum of 3 LA INC. member hotels and/or a minimum of 3,000 total room nights.

  11. What is a Definite Citywide Convention • A Signed, LA INC. Letter of Agreement from the Customer. • A Customer contracts with hotels for a minimum of 50% of peak rooms and/or a signed License Agreement with the Los Angeles Convention Center.
